If you already hold an internationally valid license or a license issued by your country, you can go to an authorized institution for translating your license and identity certificate into Chinese firstly, and then go to the vehicle management division of local public security bureau to conduct the license renewal procedure with your valid driver’s license and your identity certificate.

The contact means are:

Ningxia International Exchange Center   Tel: +86-951-5032195

If you do not hold any driver’s license, nor do you have any driving experience, you can receive training at driving training schools. After passing physical examination and traffic regulations examination, completing the prescribed class hours, and passing the driving examination organized by the vehicle management division of local public security bureau, you can receive a driver’s license.

If traffic accident occurs, you should immediately stop your car, protect the scene, rescue the wounded, and report to the traffic police officer nearby. When the traffic police officer arrives at the scene and makes investigation, you should show your license, and give a true account of what has happened. After the investigation of the scene is over and with the permission of the police, you can leave the scene.
